Razorwire
Background:
Kaida Takashiro was born in Sapporo, Japan, marked as an Extra from the moment of her birth. Her dark grey skin and razor-sharp hair nearly killed her mother during childbirth, an event her father never forgave her for. Raised in a home filled with resentment, Kaida was constantly blamed for her mother’s trauma and inability to have more children, branded as a monster from an early age.
Her hair, as tough as steel, resisted all attempts to cut it, growing into long, deadly tendrils that could slice through nearly anything. As if her appearance didn't already make her feel like a monster, Kaida discovered that under stress, her body would grow spikes, blades, and claws. The first time this manifested was during her first kiss, which ended with her partner dying in the hospital due to blood loss.
Traumatized and withdrawn, Kaida’s self-hatred deepened when she was charged with manslaughter, though spared a harsh sentence. When an angry mob attempted to attack her, she snapped. Her powers unleashed, she killed many in a whirlwind of razor-sharp death. Her actions drew the attention of Miss Mandrake, who offered her a place in Apex Primacy and, for the first time, made her feel valued. Miss Mandrake told her that she wasn’t a monster but a powerful being, and no one would ever disrespect her again.
Personality:
Kaida is deeply scarred by her upbringing, still wrestling with the belief that she is a monster. Her years of isolation have made her cold and distant, though joining Apex Primacy has given her a sense of belonging. She is fiercely loyal to Miss Mandrake, the first person to see her powers as a gift rather than a curse.
Despite her icy exterior, Kaida longs for acceptance and respect. She has embraced her deadly abilities as a form of empowerment and no longer hesitates to use them to protect herself or others in Apex Primacy. Razorwire is determined to never again be seen as weak or monstrous, and her confidence grows with every life she claims in her deadly dance of combat.
