Unlike offensive-based Extras, Kyle absorbs energy rather than emits it, making him an unlikely target of fear or control. Because of this, he never had to deal with government oppression, muzzles, or constant monitoring like Lisa or others in Apex Primacy.
This privilege, however, made him naïve to the real struggles that many Extras endured—until Lisa Grogan entered his life. Meeting her shattered his worldview, forcing him to confront the pain, injustice, and suffering that many Extras lived through daily.
Kyle was drawn into Apex Primacy not out of hatred or ideology, but because he wanted to protect Lisa and understand the world that had shaped her. What Apex Prime and Mandrake don’t realize is that Kyle has no intention of becoming one of them. He is playing the long game, staying close to Lisa and others to keep them from fully falling into darkness.

He does NOT absorb kinetic force (punches, bullets, physical attacks still hit like normal).
Energy Conversion:
The absorbed energy is safely converted into cellular energy, fueling Kyle’s stamina, healing, and strength beyond normal human limits.
More energy absorbed = More enhanced physical performance.
If he absorbs too much, his body forces him into hibernation mode to safely burn off the excess.
