Kyle Glass

Background:
Kyle Glass grew up in a small-town Midwest setting, raised in a loving, working-class family that owned a modest farm. Unlike many Extras, his powers were not immediately apparent or flashy, meaning he lived a relatively normal life without the prejudice or persecution that others faced.
His abilities, while immensely powerful, were considered non-threatening by government standards. Unlike offensive-based Extras, Kyle absorbs energy rather than emits it, making him an unlikely target of fear or control. Because of this, he never had to deal with government oppression, muzzles, or constant monitoring like Lisa or others in Apex Primacy.
This privilege, however, made him naïve to the real struggles that many Extras endured—until Lisa Grogan entered his life. Meeting her shattered his worldview, forcing him to confront the pain, injustice, and suffering that many Extras lived through daily.
Kyle was drawn into Apex Primacy not out of hatred or ideology, but because he wanted to protect Lisa and understand the world that had shaped her. What Apex Prime and Mandrake don’t realize is that Kyle has no intention of becoming one of them. He is playing the long game, staying close to Lisa and others to keep them from fully falling into darkness.
He knows it’s dangerous, but if no one else is going to fight for the souls of the broken, then who will?
  Personality
Kyle Glass is genuine and warm-hearted, a man who wears his heart on his sleeve in a world where most people around him hide behind masks of cruelty, ambition, or survival. He doesn’t play mind games, doesn’t manipulate, and doesn’t believe in pretending to be something he’s not. Even as he finds himself in the den of villains that is Apex Primacy, Kyle remains kind, patient, and steady, a rock against the tide of extremism that threatens to consume those around him.
His unshakable loyalty defines him. If Kyle cares about someone, he will move heaven and earth for them—and right now, he stays in Apex Primacy not for their cause, but for the people within it. He sees something worth saving in Lisa, Emily, Kaida, and even Lupinal, and if that means staying close to Apex Prime and Miss Mandrake, so be it. They don’t realize it yet, but Kyle is here to save their people from them.
Despite his easy-going demeanor, Kyle is observant and thoughtful. He may act like the goofy farm boy, but in reality, he notices everything—every hesitation in Lisa’s voice, every flicker of uncertainty in Emily’s eyes, every rare, fleeting moment of warmth in Kaida’s icy exterior. He can tell when people are hurting, even if they don’t show it, and he knows how to listen. Kyle doesn’t fixate on a person’s worst moments; he focuses on the good that still exists within them.
He is the bravest 'coward' you’ll ever meet. Kyle doesn’t believe in fighting for the sake of fighting—he doesn’t seek out conflict, doesn’t rush headfirst into danger, and doesn’t throw punches when words will do. He would rather talk his way out of a bad situation than turn it into a bloodbath. But when pushed—when someone he loves is in danger, when someone tries to break the people he’s trying to save—Kyle will stand his ground. And when he does, he won’t stop.
They call Apex Primacy a family, but Kyle knows the truth: it’s a prison. A gilded cage where broken people are kept that way, because Apex Prime and Miss Mandrake need them to be broken.
Kyle may not be a hero.
He may not be a warrior.
He may not even know what the hell he’s doing half the time.
But what he does know—what makes him truly dangerous—is this:
He is hope. And hope can change everything.

Physical Description

Special abilities

Absorbs Nearly All Forms of Non-Kinetic Energy:
Electricity
Radiation
Heat & Fire
Light & UV Rays
Sound Waves
Magic-Based Energy
Most other forms of non-physical energy

  Energy Nullification:
Energy-based attacks or effects (electrical blasts, fire, etc.) simply dissipate upon touching Kyle, leaving him unharmed. This makes him a nightmare for blasters and elemental-based fighters.
He does NOT absorb kinetic force (punches, bullets, physical attacks still hit like normal).
  Energy Conversion:
The absorbed energy is safely converted into cellular energy, fueling Kyle’s stamina, healing, and strength beyond normal human limits.
More energy absorbed = More enhanced physical performance.
If he absorbs too much, his body forces him into hibernation mode to safely burn off the excess.
  Resistant to Exhaustion:
Kyle rarely tires unless in extreme conditions, as he is constantly recharging from background energy sources (sunlight, heat, electrical fields).
  Theoretical Limitations & Unexplored Potential:
He has never been tested against planetary-level energy sources like nuclear detonations, cosmic radiation, or antimatter.
There are rumors that his power, if pushed beyond limits, could make him an infinite energy conduit—but he has never come close to reaching that point.
