Background:
Danny LeFleur, now known as Duskveil, hails from the industrial city of Saint John, New Brunswick, a place shaped by its port, factories, and blue-collar roots. Growing up, he experienced firsthand the darker side of his city, from organized crime infiltrating the docks to corruption within local law enforcement. This harsh environment instilled in him a strong sense of justice from a young age. When Danny was just a child, his family became the target of a crime syndicate. He was saved by Nightshift, a mysterious vigilante who operated in the shadows, delivering justice where the law failed. Nightshift saw potential in the young boy and took him in as a protégé, training him in the ways of stealth, combat, and investigation. For years, Danny trained under Nightshift’s watchful eye, learning how to move unseen and strike with precision.
Saint John’s industrial areas, back alleys, and shipping docks became Danny’s training grounds, where he honed his skills, learning how to take down criminals while remaining undetected. His time as a sidekick was marked by his loyalty to his mentor and his desire to clean up the streets of his hometown.
When Nightshift began investigating the shady dealings of Flora Noblis, he uncovered dark secrets that led to his eventual disappearance. Unable to believe that his mentor had simply vanished, Danny began his own investigation, tracking the clues to Nova Scotia. His search led him to the hidden facility run by Doctor Gottlinde “Dame Gothel” Krämer, where he encountered Rochelle Krause, the modern Rapunzel.
After discovering that Doctor Krämer was responsible for Nightshift’s murder, Danny vowed to bring her and the criminal syndicate she worked for to justice. He continues his investigation into Flora Noblis and AVN International, while helping Rochelle navigate her new life as a hero.
Now a student at Lighthouse Academy, Duskveil uses his extensive training to refine his skills and prepare for the eventual showdown with Doctor Krämer and the criminal empire responsible for his mentor’s death.
Personality: Duskveil is driven, disciplined, and carries the weight of his mentor’s legacy on his shoulders. Coming from a rough-and-tumble city like Saint John, he has a no-nonsense attitude when it comes to crime-fighting, but he is also fiercely loyal to those he trusts. Though he operates in the shadows and tends to keep his emotions close, his bond with Rochelle allows him to open up more as they face their shared enemies.
He often struggles with balancing his thirst for vengeance with his desire for justice. However he is not overly fond of the life of a registered superhero and finds the rules and expectations of it chafing. He is here because of Rochelle but many suspect he would much rather not be if not for his feelings and dedication to her.
