Cabaret the Cultured Diva of Crime

Clarisse du Montagne (a.k.a. Cabaret)

Background
Clarisse du Montagne grew up in Nice, where she was encouraged to pursue fame in singing and dancing. A star of Paris’ most famous cabaret clubs, Clarisse charmed elites and manipulated powerful figures. Her life took a turn when a scandal with a prominent politician led to her blacklisting, as she discovered she had been nothing but a toy in the hands of those with influence. Betrayed and humiliated, Clarisse disappeared from the public eye, reemerging as Cabaret, a vengeful and cunning criminal mastermind.
Having honed her craft of manipulation, she now targets the rich and powerful, viewing them as her enemies. She orchestrates her crimes with the same precision and drama as her former performances, turning each heist into a calculated spectacle. Her persona as Cabaret is one of theatrical elegance, thriving in the world of crime as if it were her grand stage.
Cabaret’s vengeance reached its peak when she meticulously murdered the politician who had used her, staging his death in a public spectacle and sending shockwaves through Paris’s high society. Since then, she assembled a network of dissatisfied women, running cons and blackmail schemes, proving that she could outwit even the most dangerous men.
However, the heat in Paris began to close in on her. Sébastien "BlueBeard" Mauvais, a dangerous criminal she had outsmarted, sought revenge, and the masked vigilante Le Nocturne thwarted many of her plans. Worst of all, Interpol’s detective Jean Delacroix relentlessly pursued her, inching closer with each move she made. Deciding it was time to cut ties and escape, Cabaret dissolved her gang in Paris and set her sights on a new life.
She didn’t leave alone. Cabaret formed a powerful partnership with Vivienne Laroque, an American dancer from New Orleans who took on the alias Burlesque. Together, they left Paris behind and relocated to Toronto, where they have risen to prominence in the city's criminal underworld. Now, Cabaret leads the Show Girls gang—an all-female crime syndicate that blends performance art with criminal activities. With Burlesque by her side, Cabaret continues to run elaborate heists and schemes, solidifying her control in the city.
Cabaret thrives in her new domain, continuing to weave drama and danger into every move she makes, as Toronto's elites become her latest targets in the grand performance that is her life.
Personality Cabaret thrives in the spotlight, always commanding attention with her grandiose speech and movements. She loves turning every encounter into a show, carefully crafting each moment for maximum impact.
Despite her outward charm, she is ruthless when it comes to her plans. Cabaret will manipulate and discard anyone who becomes an obstacle, and she shows no mercy to those who cross her.
Clarisse harbors deep resentment toward the elites who once adored her but abandoned her after the scandal. She now takes great pleasure in dismantling their wealth and power, seeing every heist or attack as a personal vendetta.
Cabaret is an elegant woman who appreciates the finer things in life. She knows how to work a room and loves to use her charisma to toy with those around her, often playing mind games for her amusement.
