Grimsguard

The Grimsguard is the special guard controlled by the Grimroads Duke. She calls them her security force, created because she was a target of many assassination attempts in the past.
The Grimsguard is made of a variety of races, be it humans, elves, firbolgs, orcs, halfling, or really, any person able to be recruited. Though recruted might be a kind word for it, as the members all were collected as children from orphanages and the street to be trained and conditioned to serve the Grimroads Duke to her whims and protection. There is no shortages of orphans and street rats, so over the years the Grimroads Duke has collected quite the number of members for the Grimsguard, making numbers to be able to count the Grimsguard as a small army.
The Grimsguard are generally seen as a peaceful group, as they have been strictly disciplined. However, the Grimroads Guke is a person that acts upon her whims plenty of times, leading to the group to be seen as ruthless as well. As the Grimroads Duke is a person of considerable power, being part of the Vvakol Council, she is able to let her guard roam about however she instructs them. She also is able to hire professionals to train them in the ways of battle, with a variety of weapons that allow them to become specialists in either one particular battle fashion, or in several at the same time. The Grimsguard goes through years of grueling training, both physical and mental. Usually, those that are trained in several types of specialties are longer-lived folk than those with only one specialty, as more time can be dedicated to training them. Very few have any capability to object to the things that she might make her guards do.
The leadership of the Grimsguard is made up of some of the Grimroads Dukes most trained individuals, that have been bent completely to her will. She also has a specialized group as part of the Grimsguard that are professional reeducators that take care of anyone that shows dissatisfaction and disrespect. The reeducators are one rank above the initial educators, who train the children in obedience.
