The Jovian Civilian Escape Pod is a small, emergency vehicle equipped with a basic radio broadcaster which will begin emitting an emergency distress call upon entry.
An automated Navigation Function will ensure the occupants are delivered to the closest destination of safety within the pods travelling capacity.
Each pod should be charged with enough energy to carry the weight of between 1 and 6 passengers for between 3 hours and 30 minutes, and is armoured against radiation and the effects of space as well as enough armour for single re-entry.
The pod is not equipped to break through the gravitational pull of a large moon or planet, nor is it equipped with either gravity coils, CO2 scrubbers, weaponry, or any other equipment required for long-distance travel.
