Basic Information

Anatomy

Solar Creatures are quadruped creatures with strong, muscular bodies and powerful jaws.

Biological Traits

Solar Creatures take various forms. Some may appear more feline, while others appear canine. They are still related, but they can be subdivided by this difference. Sometimes, Solar Creatures have an ambiguous, but distinctly four-legged, appearance.
Solar Creatures also have a trait where their fire is more purple, blue, or black. These ones are referred to Shadow Solar Creatures.
Even rarer are Cursed Solar Creatures, which are bright green flamed creatures. These ones are known for constantly making a distressed or harsh screaming sound, and often suffer illness harsher and more frequently than other Solar Creatures.

Ecology and Habitats

We can assume that, under their regular conditions of the Rift, Solar Creatures appear in a more "normal" state. However, as soon as they enter Scrapbook, they burst into flames that are almost as bright as stars, some say.
Given the Solar Creatures' size, they probably hunt larger prey as well.

Dietary Needs and Habits

Solar Creatures are carnivores. We are not entirely sure of how they are in their natural environment, but Solar Creatures seem to hunt using either chaos magic or by killing the animal with the fire on their fur.
Solar Creatures will eat any meat given to them, including us Scraps of Scrapbook.

Biological Cycle

We haven't recorded one's life cycle in the wild for obvious reasons, but when held in captivity, Solar Creatures burn out and die in poor environments.

Social Structure

Solar Creatures are quite energetic and playful when they are with others of their kind. They often play when not hunting.

Geographic Origin and Distribution

Solar Creatures naturally live in the Rift. However, they commonly enter through holes in the Rift. This most often happens on Drimori and Herudumra.

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

Solar Creatures have very powerful senses of smell, sight, and hearing. It is suspected that they have different "modes" of sight, and can do something similar to seeing through thin walls.

Civilization and Culture

History

First discovered by Baron Elliot in 40 FEE, their destruction and great cause of distress prompted the creation of the Thieves of the Eldritch alliance, which took it upon themselves to band together to prevent Solar Creatures and other dangerous Rift anomalies from harming innocent Scraps.

This creature is very dangerous! If you encounter it, you must report it immediately to your local government! Do not attempt to interact or try to tame it.

10 years in captivity. It is believed that they are around 20 or 30 years old when they enter Scrapbook.
