Ezai
For over a thousand years, we thought we'd never get to see what Ezai had to offer. The thick mists surrounding it were once thought impenetrable. But now that the Elfathri and Fey-Kin have shown themselves to the rest of us, hiring passage through the mists isn't so impossible! The place is a wonder, as ancient as time, and full of strange and terrifying creatures. Even the landscape is fantastical, vibrant blues and pinks, and plants which glow at night. If only it weren't so dangerous, I'd spend an eternity wandering the jungles of Ezai. -Tiber Reverend, Scholar of the Empire
Geography
Ezai is less a single skyland, and more a massive collection of smaller skylands, much like an archipelago. The skylands are strung together and bound by the roots and vines of the thousands of gigantic jungle trees, some reaching insane heights; the biggest being hundreds of miles into the sky. Travelling through Ezai can be difficult, as it is nearly impossible to tell where one skyland ends and the next begins until you're stepping up to the edge of the craggy spaces between the two. Falling down one of these crags would mean a long fall through the skies below, unless you could catch yourself on any of the thousands of vines and roots bridging the two skylands.
Localized Phenomena
At the base of the largest tree on Ezai can be found an entrance to within. Inside, an impossible space exists; far larger than possible for the inside of the tree. Grassy meadows, fantastical trees of bright blues and vibrant yellows, and waterfalls seeming to cascade from nowhere into large ponds, clear as day and surrounded by rich vegetation. Here eldritch dragonkin can be found, soaring through the sky, like snakes with arms. At the center of the tree can be found Mogwe the Turtle, a great Titan of Namma, so large its impossible to see his entirety from any one point.
Fauna & Flora
Massive forest trees occupy Ezai, the tallest of which run several hundreds of miles into the sky, and measuring tens of miles in circumference. Their gigantic, far reach branches form a canopy over most of Ezai, shrouding the land in shadow. Creeping vines of various colors run along the trunk and branches of these trees, hanging through the air connecting tree to tree, some as big as 100 feet around.
On the ground floor, large leafed bushes standing 20 feet tall grow from between the roots, along with dense green grass and glowing flowers of blue and pink. Razor-lined leaves of orange hued bushes hide within the grass, cutting deep any who brush against them. Clumps of bamboo grow nearest the lakes and rivers, and spread quickly.
Many kinds of beasts and creatures inhabit the skylands of Ezai, most are unlike any seen anywhere else. Prehistoric beasts, thought long extinct even before the time of the Great Divide, roam freely and are plentiful.
Natural Resources
Ezai is the only known place in the skylands where Tsukeseki, or Moonstone in the Elden tongue, can be found.
Tourism
After the events of The Necro War, efforts to pass through the thick mists which surround the skyland increased fourfold, by brave adventurers and knowledge seekers, looking to catalogue the flora, fauna, and geography, or to hunt the great beasts rumored to exist there. Many opportunistic Elfathri and Fey-kin sought out to start guiding ships safely through the mists, for a hefty price.
It was thought for over a thousand years that Ezai was a single skyland. With the Elfathri striking from the mists came the realization that it was possible to get through the mists. After The Necro War, adventurers made their way through with the help of Elfathri and Fey Kin guides and it was discovered that Ezai was actually an archipelago, held together by a thick tangle of vines and roots.
