Amora

"Ah, beautiful Amora. Her lush fields and verdant plains, oh so wonderful. I could gaze out at the landscape for eons." -Carlson Marks, farmer

Geography

Amora is the largest recorded skyland floating above the Barrier. Two large mountains occupy Amora, one located at its Northern point and one directly across at the Southern point. A large lake fed by rivers running down the mountains occupied the valley located between the two. From there a massive river runs downhill, towards the Eastern end of the skyland, where it flows off into oblivion.   Forested hills and plains make up the rest of the skyland, as Amora is a fertile and lush place full of green life.

Fauna & Flora

Evergreen, fir, and many kinds of oak trees cover a vast majority of the skyland. Growing alongside and between the trees are many kinds of brambly bushes, many sporting bright berries. Along the rivers and in the plains grows wild green grass, and colorful flowers of all varieties.   Along the mountains tough vines and creepers battle for sunlight, twisting around and ensnaring rocks, cliffs, trees, and anything else that they can cling to. Resilient pine trees grow from the sides of cliff walls, casting shadows on the animal trails below. Dark green pokey grass grows through twisted sticker bushes.   Too many types of creatures to count make their homes on Amora. Furry mammals of all types, scaly coldblooded creatures, monsters with leathery skin and insects of all sizes live comfortably, creating a vast and varied ecosystem.
