Western Dragons
Western Dragons are one of several different forms that dragons can take, one most closely associated with traditional conceptualizations of dragons in the western world, hence the name. Western dragons have lizard-like scales, massive wings, and a set of four limbs. Famous western dragons include Dunkelzahn, Lofwyr, and Hestaby.
Basic Information
Anatomy
Western dragons are twenty meters long on average, of which their tail makes up about 65% of the length. They stand at three meters at shoulder height with an average wingspan of thirty meters. They have four limbs, the front two of which have opposable thumbs with the back pair serving as legs. Most of their scales are one color, with a slightly lighter shade along the spine and pale scales along the stomach. Some have dermal armor or dorsal spines, though neither are always present.
Western dragons, like all other dragon variants, can also take a metahuman form. This form is composed of mana, and so can have any appearance the dragon desires. Creating a new form takes substantial effort, so most dragons keep only a few forms at any one time. Despite being composed of mana, these forms are functionally the same as a normal metahuman body, and so can often do many of the same things as a normal metahuman could.
