Run 4: Mercurial
General Summary
The group was hired to help protect up-and-coming famed musician Maria Mercurial from her old employer, a man named Hernandez. Your employer, one Max Foley, initially seemed to be helpful but over the course of the first night was found to be working with the people trying to hurt Mercurial. After a bit of intimidation and a worrying amount of torture, the group learned that Foley was involved in a plot to assassinate Mercurial led by the boogeyman assassin of Aztechnology, Kyle Morgan. Morgan's partner Perianwyr attacked the group, an event made especially worrying by his being a Great Western Dragon, but the group managed to get away. After meeting up with Hernandez, who was revealed to be framed in the plot against Mercurial, the group found that Mercurial was primarily wanted for the data in her brain. After extracting the data, Feedback went off to meet with Morgan's handler, Keane, to negotiate their way out of the mess the group found themselves in. After handing over the data and wiping it from Mercurial's brain, Keane agreed to call Morgan off, allowing the group to continue on with their lives.
Notes from H:
Firstly, allow me to give my humblest apologies. Foley was a well known member of our community but even so I should have vetted him better. I'd joke that giving you Keana's number at least makes up for my involvement in Foley's betrayal, but it genuinely reflects badly on my work. I will do my best to ensure similar circumstances do not happen again.
That said, you group handled yourselves admirably. Butting heads with someone like Morgan and surviving is one thing, doing so any keeping your target alive is another. Go home today proud of a job well done.
Rewards Granted
7,000 nuyen, 9 good karma, Mercurial as a contact

Big Stories in the News:
Blast Shakes Downtown: The latest in a long series of dragon-related attacks occurred this past Tuesday in downtown Seattle. The assailant has not yet been positively identified, but experts believe it is unlikely that they are associated with known politically influential dragons. Although Lone Star states no one was hurt in the attack, thousands of dollars in property damage was accrued, once again lighting flames under the conversations about human-dragon relations. Dunkelzahn, known paranormal rights activist and fellow dragon, has not yet commented on this event, nor has his poltiical rival Lofwyr.
Noble Arrangements in the Valley: Corporate interests were shaken up recently with the announcement that the Williams family have designated a new heir this past week. The Williams have been a major corporate influence in the Central Valley of California Free State, most notably holding major shares in Shiawase. Expert economists claim that this announcement could cause major shifts as AA coporations try to use the new heir to pull Shiawase out of the Corporate Court.
End of the Search: The CAS Coast Guard announced this morning that it is officially putting on hold its search for the MIT&T plane that crashed into the Atlantic this past summer. The plane, which carried archaeological artifacts consider important to the search for Atlantis, is believed to have crashed one hundred miles west of Savannah, Geogria but no wreckage has been found to date. Included in the fifteen missing crew members are MIT&T professor Dr. Vera Kelley and Atlantean Foundation researcher Dr. Bernard Gaussman. Next week marks fourth months since the plane went missing, leaving behind nothing but questions and conspiracies.
