KSAF
KSAF is a public news outlet that has close connections with the Shadowlands community. As one of the few new outlets that hosts actively anti-corporate viewpoints, KSAF represents sentiments common on the Shadowlands, so reporters from KSAF often make appeareances on Shadowlands boards and Shadowlands data often ends up in KSAF news reports.
Structure
KSAF maintains a very loose structure for a news agency. Each reporter is given more or less free-reign to investigate and report on whatever stories they deem important. This lets reporters stay fluid in their work, switching to whatever story shows the most promise. This formula evidently works well, as KSAF reporters tend to be among the first to report on massive events.
History
KSAF (or WSAF as it was initially known) originally operated out of Chicago but moved to Seattle when the city began growing into the metroplex it is today. KSAF quickly gained a reputation for being among the first, if not the first, station to report on major events, often seeming to react suspiciously fast to events. KSAF management chalks this up to their free-form structure, allowing reporters to move about as they see fit.
More recently, KSAF's association with Shadowlands gave its traditionally anti-corporate messaging a different light. It's now seen more as a public extension of the Shadowlands forums, a comparison that the station itself doesn't seem quick to dissaude.
