02 - The First Quest
General Summary
11th June, 3598 AA
On the way to Littleshade we take rest at a campsite where an old lady is also there with her donkey. She offers us soup and hospitality but we decline. Unit B45-T10N takes watch as he does not need to sleep but fails to see the lady and donkey leaving in the middle of the night, leaving us to discover we are a few gold coins down in the morning.
12th June, 3598 AA
Once we make it to Littleshade we come across the lady from before trying to sell her donkey in the market place. We go over demanding our money back and she explains that her husband sold their kids into slavery to pay for alcohol and now she's trying to raise enough money to buy them back from hard industrial work. Fen's PC buys the donkey at a discount and they take their money back.
They then realise that they need more money and find a noticeboard. The best paying job on there is a merchant who's daughter has gone missing so we go and speak to the merchant for clues. He says that a band of thugs (adventurers) kidnapped his daughter. He saw them all talking in the tavern overhearing how they were going to Crowscar Island where a wizard lives (who apparently abducts people and sacrifices them to demons). He is worried that that exact thing has happened to his daughter.
13th June, 3598 AA
The party makes their way to the island and on the way they discover a mysterious cottage that has been enchanted to look really scary to a certain check. They knock on the door and a little old lady answers and invites them in for tea but the party are very suspicious of her and keep threatening to kill her even with all her hospitality. She just wants company, as her son went off to the city to live his life. He was worried about her safety so he enchanted her house to look spooky to dissuade people from breaking in.
One of the party asks how to get to the island and she mentions that there is another band of adventurers like us that recently passed through and seemed to know about an underwater colony that might be able to help get us across the channel. But they never do it for free.
