History

Though Lar and Essie grew up together, they were never close. They did play together as children, but when Essie's parents died, their relationship really went downhill. Essie matured quickly, while Lar never really matured at all. Lar often talked of how he did not like Essie and vice versa, though Essie always tried to be nice to her cousin.
When Lar became king, Essie supported him as much as she could. She was the only person he turned to. He asked her for help. Essie was not there when Lar was killed, but she lamented his loss.
