Amarok

Werewolf Alpha

Amarok is the name given to the creature known as the Werewolf Alpha, the largest and most dangerous lycanthrope the realm has ever seen. Once a regular human being, the Werewolf Alpha has abandoned his life and fully embraced his bestial curse.

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

Due to his embracing of lycanthropy, as well as his age and power, Amarok is around 20 feet tall. He is by far the strongest and most powerful of the werewolves, which is also thanks to his age, but as well as his complete embrace of the disease.

Personal history

Ralph Talbot was once an ordinary human being from Llanwelly, Wildebourne. On one fateful night, Ralph was on a walk with his partner, Gwen Conliffe. Ralph loved Gwen more than anything in the world, and it was that night he intended to propose. However, before he got the chance, the couple was attacked by a wolf. Ralph jumps out to save Gwen, killing the wolf but not without a bite to his chest.   Police investigating the scene, found not the body of a wolf, but the body of an unidentified woman, with Ralph the supposed perpetrator. Ralph was further unable to defend his innocence when his chest bite miraculously healed over night, making his story of self-defense unlikely. In the midst of the investigation, Ralph and Gwen become pariahs of the town. But this was the least of Ralph’s worries.   The following night, Ralph transformed into a human-beast hybrid known as a werewolf, for the attack had infected him with lycanthropy. Also unbeknownst to Ralph, he was the last werewolf in the plane; the rest had been hunted to extinction. In his transformation, Ralph lost control and slaughtered a citizen of the town.   Horrified of this happening to his beloved Gwen, Ralph decided to tell his father of his lycanthropy, but his father only believed him insane. To prove to Ralph that he is delusional, his father tied him to a chair, and waited until the full moon rose. Unfortunately for Ralph, Gwen arrived at his home to find him at the worst possible time, at which point Ralph was, again, transformed into a werewolf. The werewolf broke free of his restraints, killing both his partner and his father within minutes.   In the following days, Ralph fled the to the countryside, horrified over his own capability, yet mostly due to his treatment by his neighbors and friends. It was on this chapter that Hallow, the god of fear, presented himself to Ralph, and offered him a place in this world should he aid Hallow in his quest. As part of the deal, Ralph would set out to infect the world and revive lycanthropy, building his army of monsters. Ralph accepted out of hatred for the evils of humanity, and was given a new name, fitting for the Werewolf Alpha: AMAROK.

Mental Trauma

The full moon had no effect on lycanthropes before Amarok, and lycanthropes are able to transform without it; the transformation under the full moon began as a tradition harkening back to Amarok’s past, where the full moon would remind him of the fateful night where he murdered the woman he loved. As the leader of the werewolves, his army would follow suit, and thus beginning the tradition of werewolves transforming under the full moon.
