Phisk Nss'eera
Conceived within the Western Woods, Nss'eera and her kin harbor a close bond to the nature of Bo'Rau'hl. Her family specialized in survival skills, her mother, was an alchemist, and her father was a hunter. Most of Nss'eera's life was spent wandering and exploring the wooded west with her siblings, they had been housed in elevated cities constructed between the towering trees that brought them safety. Upon reaching maturity, Nss'eera and her twin sister Fal'ahdra faced their Phisk trials. Despite their kinship with the magical gifts of the Galk, their blood ran thin with Psionic prowess. During their trials, Fal'ahdra succumbed to the chaos of Limbo, despite Nss'eera's efforts to keep her alive.
This failure scarred Nss'eera, causing her to return to Bo'Rau'hl prior to completing the trials, deeming her a failure. Now destined to remain Phisk, Nss'eera devoted her life more now than ever to her family vowing to protect her remaining siblings from the dangers of Limbo. Her three remaining siblings were soon to come of age, and in an act against her parent's will she attempted to escape with them taking them as far beyond Zerai society as possible in hopes of saving them from the trials. This escape was short-lived as their father took to hunting them down and returning them home. In tandem Nss'eera's parents assured her of the importance of the trials and their function.
Unconvinced, she continued to uphold the mantle of their education, teaching them the importance of survival and tricks she learned during her time in Limbo and the forests. At last, Mih'sah, Deir'ac, and Tanish were faced with their trials, a fact that she could no longer oppose. In her submission, she allowed her siblings to venture forth unto their trials, a choice she instantly regretted. In a fit of despair, she panicked, rushing out to save them even though it was too late. Her interference was forbidden and therefore prevented by the Zerths. Her actions of interference caused her imprisonment where she tore herself up in prayers for her kin.
The three ventured out on their trials, leaving Nss'eera in her paranoid state. After a year of adventure the siblings returned, not as mere Phisk, but reborn as Ck'hass, elevated in Zerthimons name. However, Deir'ac had met a heroic end in defending his two sisters. This revelation broke Nss'eera, her failure was evident and undeniable. She had allowed for another of her kin to fall, an unforgivable mistake. Upon being released from confinement by her sisters, she sought redemption. Acknowledging her failure to save her own family, she began to recognize the system as the problem, it was the fault of no individual, but rather the conformist culture that they harbored as a people. Erupting in rage against the Zerai, she vowed to save as many people going forward as possible, doing so by actively rebelling against Zerai culture and sparing the lives of the many Phisk who would otherwise not survive Limbo.
In her pursuit, she ventured forth to the Mass'sash'si shamans in the West in search of aid in direction, where she sought allies, she instead was presented with a life-altering journey into the Whispering Forest. Her visit to the Lillendi shamans drew the attention of Lillend Odessyn, a being drawn to her beauty and ambition upon first sight. Guising his attraction, Odessyn offered a partnership in the form of a guide on the journey now set before her. Set forth together, the two fell in love during their adventure to procure an artifact presented to her by the magics of the Mass'sash'si's visions. In winning the favor of a dryad she was gifted the artifact required. This artifact took the form of a glowing orb, birthed from the forest itself. The extent of the orb's power was unknown to her, however, she only that it was her destiny to use it to change the world.
