Trappist - 1b
The innermost planet, Trappist-1b, is a barren, tidally locked world. Its surface is marked by extreme temperature differences between the sun-facing and dark sides. The planet is largely inhospitable, with most resources located deep within its crust. However, Arcane Biotech has established secret mining operations to extract rare minerals that are believed to have been formed by eldritch forces deep within the planet. These minerals are valuable for Genetic Engineering and advanced materials science. Due to its harsh environment, only the most well-equipped expeditions can survive.
Geography
The planet is mostly barren, with a rocky surface and massive cracks caused by tidal forces. On the sunward side, temperatures soar, while the dark side is freezing. The Twilight Zone between the two extremes is where most operations are based.
