A peculiar creature. Looking like a mix between a dog, a ferret and a rat. Running around on all fours, but able to sit up on the hind legs and capable to use its front paws to make notes and use tools.
Is sometimes seen accompanying Old Deathsail.

Personality

Multiple instances of this race all claim to be "Jaqueramaphan" it is unclear if it is a title, a race name or something of the like.
The creature appears to be inquisitive and curious, which aids its endevaours in what it calls "Pursuing the truth". The creature seems to be trusting and takes reports at face value, however the creatures block many efforts to gain insight from them. Access to the archives of The Tortuga Gazetteer is possible, usually for exorbitant prices - hinting at some kind of interest in business.

History

The creatures Jaqueramaphan has been running the The Tortuga Gazetteer for quite some time and is a well known face all across the isles.

He is a remnant of the original expedition and was also reawakened when Old Deadsail forged his pact. Since then the two have worked together to collect knowledge and stories across the ages.
Jaqueramaphan is frequently split across many islands, a part of him is currently lost and has regressed into a feral state. Reuniting them would result in a significant boost to the parties favour in the eyes of Old Deathsaill and Jaqueramaphan.

Background

Jaqueramaphan is a Hivemind comprising of many different bodies, these are split across many different islands and other places. If he loses connection with a body, it regresses into a ferral state until it reconnects to him. The connection works with the help of Psionics and is unaffected by anything messing with magic. The personality is comprised of all bodies and not tied to a central one.. He serves as a sort of journalist and interviews people in the harbour, printing their adventures in a small shop he owns and operates.
