Elrimonar is a wizard. He comes from fairly average background, but quickly rose through the royal ranks, as one of their magicians and transmuters. He was expelled equally fast for not adhering to proper protocols, when conducting his experiments.

Motivation
As a mage he thinks, that he destined for greatness and with the appearance of the Maelstrom has made it his mission to rid the world of this thing and be celebrated and revered forever. He wants the world to be saved but only if he is the one that saves it.
He has no reason for his racism, he is just a dick.
