Dandies
Description
The people can tell you a lot about the quality of their ruler, by their clothing alone. There is a reason this crew is sometimes called "Dandies" and looked down on. The only crew to wear at least something approximating a uniform, you wouldn't look twice if you saw them among the sailors of any military fleet. All follow standards set, shaving and binding their hair back before combat, clean clothes and always a polite and friendly demeanor. All can be identified by at least one piece of brigth red clothing, usually a belt. Lesser crews would use this and spread rumours about it being dyed with the blood of their enemies, something that is not necessary for this crew.Psychology
Why a crew so disciplined as this would accept an outsider, whose ship they just took as a prize, as their captain is unclear. That is why we theorize that Adgella Blackwater is just the figurehead or a puppet of somebody else.Whenever a ship is taken, the captain and the higher ranks split about fifty percent among each other, the rest is given to the simple sailors. A tactic that highly encourages to plunder as much as possible, while making sure that your comrades do the same. A pure merit based promotion allows for a high motivation to be as useful as possible. As even sick or disabled crewmembers receive care and a share, loyalty is insured. Interestingly this crew seems to be the most polite and friendly towards outsiders, even openly talking their organizational structures after discovering that we are royal agents. Claiming that our "little reports" would do nothing to harm them, they had nothing to hide.
Make-Up
Of the people that make it to the shifting isles, only a select few are allowed to join this crew. Among them are often those of formerly noble birth, those with scholarly inclinations and many that exhibit great talent as fighters.
