Scope
The motivation behind building The Shielded Domain
To create a world that is filled to the brim with excitement and to help bring me and my friends closer through the game of D&D.
The goal of the project
The joy of witnessing my frienda have fun playing in a world of my own design, and to see how they react to every detail I give to them.
The Shielded Domain's Unique Selling point
What is and what seems to be leaves much to be explored, there is a twist behind every turn and I want my players to fully explore their imagination and creativity while within my world. My world may take from some classic fantasy tropes but it also breaks a few and the players. will have to explore to see which those are.

Genre
My world is Fantasy! A little bit of dark and heroic fantasy mixed up together in one.
Reader Experience
World feels exciting and dangerous, with mutiple serious themes mixed in, but no matter how dark it gets, the light of joy will awlays shine through in the end within this campaign.
Reader Tone
World is Darkish - think Witcher mixed with Lord of the Rings with a sprinkle of Harry Potter.

1. A dark and foreboding presence threatens to rise from within the already feared infernal kingdom.

Character Agency
I want the campaign to feel epic, so characters will be able to effect a great deal of change in the world, and that change might be long lasting. Because it's a dark campaign, that change won't always be good! If they fumble or make mistakes, they'll have big consequences, too!
