1: Big Dogs & Headless Horseman

General Summary

The group bravely, or foolishly, wandered into the woods after hearing howling. They discovered a cowering little pup that they named Marc. The pup showed his strange ability to grow to an enormous size when it grew to protect them against the other creature they found in the woods - a werewolf who was attacking the boy Killian.
The group also carved pumpkins to honor an old legend that stated carved pumpkins were useful in confusing headless horsemen. No such creature had been seen in the village as long as anyone could remember, but they honored the tradition nonetheless.
Well, it is a good thing the tradition was followed, because that night a headless horseman did arrive, cackling madly in the night. Most grown-ups were bewitched to sleep, so it was up to the children to defeat the monster. They fought bravely against this creature from nightmares, and witnessed horrors no child should see. The headless horseman beheaded beloved Uncle Dave, who had limped drunkenly into town at the wrong moment.
Eventually, some adults began to awake and the town guard and Sheriff Lowe arrived to assist in the battle. When it appeared the group had defeated the ghoulish man, he disappeared, cackling as he went.
