The Ossended Host
The Ossended Host is a culture of fishing folk dedicated to isolationism and enlightenment through the worship of dreams and nightmares.
The Ossended Host is ultimately controlled and ruled over the Council of Five. Four of the members remain secret with one Open Lord. Currently, the Open Lord is Lord Dedric Fourwillow. His daughter Aislin Mac Alastair is the widow of King Cyrus I.
The marriage kept the peace between the two nations for many years. Now that King Cyrus I is dead, tensions are rising once again.

All political, economic and military decisions ultimately go through the Council of Five.
Culture
Dreams and vision were at the very centre of the Ossended Host.
Commoners and nobles alike would have their dreams explained to them by the Dreamers.
it was expected that a Dreamer would be present at newborn babies welcoming ceremonies. The Dreamer would issue visions for the child's parents. It is not unheard of for a parent to bribe a Dreamer to ensure a positive vision for the child's future.
Similarly, at coming-of-age ceremonies, a Dreamer would interpret what the child's dream meant.
Dreams would also be interpreted by a Dreamer during wedding ceremonies. The couple would get one vision to guide them.
Public Agenda
The Ossended Host believes that everyone should follow the visions and dreams of Sehanine Moonbow. Crass materialism as exhibited by the Wanderman Assembly should be shunned
Demography and Population
The Ossended host is made up of a diverse group of species with no hierarchical element. A strong ogre is regarded as an equal to a studios elf.
Half-orcs, halflings, humans, elves, half-elves, gnomes, dwarves, ogres, and many more species can all be found through Ossended Host territories.
Military
The military arm is called the Hosted.
Religion
The worship of Sehanine Moonbow and the interpretation of her visions by the Dreamers dominate religious life in the Ossended Host.
Agriculture & Industry
Fishing is the dominate source of food
The plains around Shlin, Amberbarrow and Silverdale also provide crops.
Little Glen provides lumber and Shlin provides Iron Ore.
Divine Origins
The initial settlers who arrived on what is now known as Arbor Island washed were desolate. Their ships were ruined, their crops failing, and their lives sure to be short and brutal.
In an act of desperation, they pleaded to whatever deity would help them. Sehanine Moonbow answered. Through a series of dreams and visions, Moonbow showed them which plants were safe to eat, the best trees for both boating and housing, and the best methods for catching fish.
Sehanine Moonbow is the dominant deity of the Ossended Host. While it is not technically illegal to worship other deities, it is still looked down upon. It is not uncommon for someone's personal shrine to another deity to be wrecked by the Moonbow faithful.

The Ossended Host practises pescetarianism (only eating fish and vegetables). The eating of meat from animals is strictly forbidden. It is not uncommon to see wild game, cows, sheep, goats and so on to wander through major towns.
Crass materialism is shunned though some individuals become wealthy. Those who do become wealthy dress in humble robes while their servants (definitely not slaves!) were fine clothing.
Priesthood
The Dreamers are the holy people throughout the Ossended Host.
Every town, village, and city has a temple dedicated to Lady of Dreams. The temples range from little more than a hall in the villages to the grand Dream Temple in Silverdale.
The Dreamers were exclusively female, though the race was wide and varied. Dwarves, humans, elves, half-elves, and even half-orcs and minotaurs were known to become Dreamers.
The Dreamers wore light white hooded robes that stretched all the way to their bare feet. Their faces were covered by white gauze.
Dreamers were chosen not long after their birth by other Dreamers during the child's welcoming ceremony.
