Selsa Tasei is ruled with an iron fist by Jesaf.  He views any outsiders with great suspicion and might even call new visitors to a personal meeting

Industry & Trade

Selsa Taesi prides itself on its independence and providing for itself, which is very much does so with the notable expectation of lumber.  It has no naval fleet to speak of, and its fishing fleet is rickety, to say the least.

Infrastructure

Selsa Taesi has a wharf to service its fishing fleets.  The wharf is in disrepair
It is surrounded by crops, which strangely grow in desert-like conditions.
It has fountains throughout that provide ample water for the populace.

Points of interest

A grand ziggurat stands at the center of the city.
It serves multiple purposes.  Firstly, it is the government centre of power where Jesaf rules.  Inside, no expense has been spared and it is quite magnificent.
The outside of the ziggurat is in disrepair and is kept that way on purpose.  People crawl up the temple to seek guidance in their life.  "Through pain, there is much to be learned".  Due to the ragged exterior of the temple, the truth-seekers end up as bloody messes at the top.  This blood is never washed off and has given the ziggurat the nickname of "The Bloody Ziggurat".
