Angels
Holy beings of virtue, opposites to the demon lords.
Angels are celestial beings embodying the seven virtues that directly oppose the deadly sins. They appear humanoid in form, often resembling the races they encounter but with a distinctly divine aura. Their most prominent feature is their large, white wings—broad and feathery, glowing faintly with an ethereal light. These wings symbolize their celestial nature and their connection to the higher realms of existence. While they are usually taller and more graceful than most humanoids, their true beauty is often difficult to comprehend for those who have never seen such creatures before.
Angels’ features can vary depending on which virtue they embody, though they typically carry an air of purity and serenity. They may have halos or glowing eyes that signal their divine connection. Their presence often brings a sense of peace, hope, or courage, depending on the individual angel’s purpose.
The Archangels and The Fall
Angels were once served The Archangels , however, 100 years ago, the Archangels were overthrown in an event known as The Fall. In recent decades, no living angel has been seen in the world of mortals.
Current State
The fall of the Archangels has left the Angelic race in disarray. Many of their kind have perished in the aftermath of the war, and the remnants of their celestial armies are scattered or in hiding. Some angels fled to distant realms or chose to live in seclusion, too afraid to confront the overwhelming force of the demon lords. The few who remain are often seen as myths or legends, with most mortals believing them to be a distant memory.
In recent times, whispers tell of angels still watching from the shadows—hidden but waiting for the chance to restore balance to the world. Their divine light, though dimmed, is not entirely extinguished, and there are those who believe that the angels will one day return to challenge the demons and reclaim their place as protectors of virtue and harmony.
