Barenthis

Barenthis is an island region North East of The Fate Empire, with no central rulership or organisation, simply a collection of islands, mostly independent of each other. This would make the region ripe for the taking of any of the other empires in The Shattered Reach, but it was the domain of the Old Gods for a century after The Fall of the Fate Star. This cut the region off from the others of The Shattered Reach, isolating it from the activities and affairs of the other regions. For this reason, worship of The Fate Star has barely reached this region, but the ruthless grasp of the IFTO has penetrated the superstition and fear that surrounds the area. While other regions have showed significant technological and magical progress since the crash, Barenthis has not developed at the same pace, largely due to its lack of central rulership and structure. The Old Gods were selfish, thriving on suffering and strife of the people they ruled over. Now that Krahz is gone, Barenthis may see greater progress and unity.
