Rimlock

Barony: Arrash - North Western, closed off from other baronies. Ruled by House Sommer. The journey to the Great Moot is often long and dangerous. Arrash has the only ports on the Northern side of the island, making it an important region of the island. Mining is its central trade. The rulership has been unsteady since Styr's death , and rebellion may ensue if people begin to call murder. Styr was a good ruler, and things have gotten worse since then.   Currently, trade in the North is the most lucrative, though possibly the least consistent.   House Sommer symbol - fist holding a snake Baron ??? Currently governed by Myra, Brayden, Edwin and Sir Klaus.   Barony: Runloft - North Eastern. Ruled by Clan Bayne. The most hostile and militaristic of the baronies, as its people are constantly under threat, more so than the rest of the island. There is little open space, and it provides a prime breeding ground for the horrors of the night. The best weapon and armour smiths on the island. Current internal conflict as the clans fight amongst themselves. Clans that supported clan Stormwind fight those that did not, and possibly contributed to their downfall. The clans who opposed the Stormwinds have been united under the Bayne banner, lead by Yondor Bayne. Some have likened more to his brutality than others.   Rebel Clans:
  • Falgar - Yulia Falgar (F)
  • Corrion - Madkar Corrion (M)
  • Mynos - Sidnar Mynos (F)
  • Clan Stormwind Symbol - whirlwind with a sword through centre Clan Bayne Symbol - Roaring bear head with spear upwards through it Baron Yondor Bayne - Half-orc were bear.   Barony: Verden - South Eastern. Ruled by House Breck. Verden controls many ports on the South Eastern corner of the island, and has plenty of land for farming crops and livestock. Big textile trade. Currently menaced by the IFTO, whose high demands have left the people suffering. House Breck is losing favour as they attempt to keep up with IFTO's expectations by making people work harder.   House Breck symbol - sickle and wheat Baron Kerlin Breck - Hill dwarf   Barony: Jaringar - South Eastern. Ruled by House Alfwoe. Access to several ports on the South side of the island, and a couple on the West. Controls the safest passage to the West of the island. Lumber is its central trade, and it provides raw materials to other baronies.   House Alfwoe symbol - Log with a wedge taken out of it Baron Garner Alfwoe - Human   Barenthis

    Geography

  • The Nail bed (Northern Mountain Range) - There is said to be an ancient Dwarven fortress hidden somewhere between the peaks, though no one has ever found it. There have been sightings of Goliath roaming the mountains, though they are reclusive and dangerous.
  • The Stone Teeth (South-Eastern Mountain Range) - Legends tell that the last elf in Rimlock lives atop the peak of the highest mountain in the range, The Fang.
  • Jaringar Forests - Dangerous, home to many beasts. Channel through the forests is vital for the east side of the Isle. People have to go in for wood and minerals, which occur in the forest. The wood that grows there has special properties, and is known as Syfrax Wood.
  • Verden Forest - No one goes there.
  • Runloft Forests - Many people live in the forests, as they have to, despite the dangers. The two forests are separated by mountains, and the clans in the two forests dislike each other.
  • Runloft Swamps - Infested with evils, but brimming with valuable and useful herbs and plants that can be used for medicines etc.
  • Runloft Mountains - Craggy and crumbly, very difficult to navigate, and known to kill climbers. The environment is almost malicious. Black, crumbly stone.
