Kraycott
Places and People:
- The Wain - a large tavern made of dark wood, with old weapons and armour hung from the walls. Owned and run by Fasti Gilrend, a human woman, and her son, Esten Gilrend. They are hiding Iosk Yoloth-Tyr here.
- The Pavilion of Faith - small temple to the Angels Lector and Mirnam, but anyone can worship anything here. Run by one of the most respected figures in the village, Irugg Stotr, a healer and wise woman.
- Vandison's Metalwork - a blacksmith's shop and forge, where Erin Vandison (human male) makes all sorts of metal objects required by the village, though he specialises in and has a passion for making weapons. This is one of the few stone buildings in the village.
- Avar's Grapes and Grog - a winery and grocery shop owned by Avar Cassick (human male) and his wife, Hilda Cassick (human female). Many of the products here are made freshly by Hilda, and Avar specialises in the Wine. They own Cassick Winery to the South West, making them likely the richest people in the town.
- Provnor's Protection - an armourer's shop owned by Oswald Provnor. He makes good quality armour and sells it to the highest bidder.
Demographics
100% human, majority craftsmen.
Government
Disputes are settled by a member of the Wolfguard.
Defences
None, save for a small, poorly paid citizen militia. Several members of the Wolfguard have set up shop here recently to try and ward off Casimir's band, though they were not successful. One was killed recently by Salen Assai, female human swashbuckler and member of the band.
Industry & Trade
The majority of the goods bought here are purchased by the Unsolicited Fireball Co. and trade with anyone else is scarce. The main goods produced here are weapons, armour, and wine.
Infrastructure
There is a single well, and not much else. The Blacksmith's is a fairly impressive building compared to the rest of the town, boasting stone walls and a large furnace.
Assets
There are very few riches here, though some well crafted weapons and armour are produced here regularly. The vineyard nearby produces reasonable quality wine, and the vines there are fairly valuable.
Guilds and Factions
With one of the best-preserved smithies in Runloft here, the Smoke and Steel guild has its base in the village.
History
Kraycott was controlled by the Baynes during their rule, and much of it was destroyed in several battle that took place there.
Architecture
Majority wooden buildings built quickly after the more permanent structures were destroyed. A few stone buildings remain, including the Blacksmith's and Armourer's.
Geography
A large forest to the North, and a small grove of trees to the South. The Town lies at the bottom of a shallow valley, more a simple depression in the Earth.
Natural Resources
Wood from the nearby grove, a few livestock, a little wheat and some vegetables. Metals have to be imported from elsewhere.
