Mireen survived the fall of Andar, one of the few in the capital to make it outside as the skies turned to flame. She was out on a hunt, a noble woman of lesser standing invited out for a royal holiday, but far from the main group, a fortuitous moment to be lost, though the next weeks would be hellish as she passed through the blasted landscape of the inner island to find passage west. Though noble by birth she came from a poor family of lesser peerage and had run the local guild, learning much of the advanced craftmanship Andar was famous for. This knowledge saved her life more than once and allowed her to flourish while others sank into ashen despair. In the Settlement she has become the most notable spokesman for the local craftsman and she, more than the local government or militia, is who they turn to when disputes arise. DETECTIVE - Joey the Sorcadin notes her plans to formally create a Guild. She is amiable to his advances and seeks institutional support in exchange for loyalty.
