Starflame

Tïlas (a.k.a. Starflame)

Starflame was an elf born on Kárydir in the Eighth Universal Age.

History

His parents died when he was eight during a Deathwatch terrorist attack, and he was left in the care of a guardian, who died a year later. Starflame lived on his own for eleven years before he encountered the nauranni he called Eldreth and the Man named Eltaor Adarí. Before he met them, he had been carrying out chaos attacks on Deathwatch when he could, then retreating to a hidden cave in the mountains. But, when he met Eldreth, his tactics changed.   Eldreth's master had given him information about almost all of Deathwatch's trade movements, and the duo started carrying out raids on the merchants supplying the Deathwatch. It was on one of these raids, when they went after an information-filled cube, that Starflame confronted and duelled the bounty hunter Thyre Adarí. The mercenary got the upper hand, stunning both Starflame and Eldreth, then throwing them in the River Tárkis. The pair were washed down to the Bay of Kilors, where they met the mysterious spirit known as Lúthcarathë. The spirit gave them their next objective, then supplied them with help in the form of the Ranger Eltaor Adarí, Thyre's brother.   The trio left the beach, heading inland, but were quickly pursued by a gang of khud'zarak, who had been paid by Deathwatch to bring back the three fugitives. They escaped from the khud'zarak with the help of Starflame's magic, and started pursuing Thyre, who had been sent to take the cube to Eledralë, the capital of Kárydir.   The three fugitives didn't manage to catch up to Thyre, but they were forced to engage and defeat many khud'zarak that had been sent to stop them. Deathwatch had neglected to tell Thyre about the fugitives, wanting him dead, and so when they found him in Eledralë, he was shocked at their survival, and then furious. He attacked them, but Starflame had grown stronger, and defeated him, taking the cube from him before the bounty hunter fled.   Starflame and the others then joined forces with a group of rebels hoping to destroy Deathwatch. The rebels sent them on many missions before they decided that it was time to do the impossible: it was time to find the Seven.   The Seven had died, but their spirits had been imprisoned in the Rift by a mighty sorcerer. The rebels sent Starflame, Eltaor, and Eldreth to the Rift, as well as several of their more skilled operatives. The team succeeded in freeing the Seven, after a quest that took them all around the Rudarye seeking seven keys. The Seven returned to Kárydir, seeking to free the world from the occupation of Deathwatch, who had recently conquered the magical Rudarye.
