Information on the history, mythology and structure of Moons High Repose
The Moons Repose is the worship and following of the goddess Selene, and her many sisters and daughters. She is acknowledged as the sister of Helios, god of the sun, according to the Heavens mythology.
She and her kin rule over the essence of beauty, subterfuge, secrets, faces, knowledge, dreams, and madness. Doing the Era of the Silken Night, as the sun completely vanished for the first time, the third and final branch of the Ethereum Pantheon revealed its self. The masked mistress Selene, her beauty for the first time fully displayed on the silver vail of night.
With her cold gleam she calmed the people, her voice gently singing them to sleep. Their hearts and minds enveloped into a landscape of dreams, that took away their fears and woes, all desire for war and conflict vanishing as they awoke.
Birthed from her voice and dreams, a new breed of elf were introduced, the Astra-Elf, sworn to protect her wisdom and beauty, sharing in a fragment of it as a reward.
As such the night was deemed a time of peace and introspectiveness, a realm of repose. The Moons Repose. But Selene knew all and everything, but kept it secret. Beneath the facade of stunning beauty, lay a dark and plotting motive. The world, as it was, was hers and she refused to let go of it. So for another 50 years the world was swallowed by her embrace. Her followers building temples of tempered glass and silver, encompassing her light and knowledge. Soon another war broke out, jealousy went rampant amongst her suiters, and followers of the other gods demanded she released her grasp on the heavens.
