The Leylan heights still have earthen guard outposts standing in them. But they are empty; artifacts of another time. No one dares to go into the cursed zone anyways.

The Leylan Heights is a peninsula and its surroundings jutting into the bay. It was battled over substantially in the Defense of Pakani, and as a result is the most cursed place in the world. One wrong step can mean falling and breaking a leg, or a sudden heart attack. The curses are so strong no one bothers to clean them up anymore.

Geography, Flora, and Fauna

The Leylan Heights are as barren as they are deadly. It is said that you would sooner survive a firing squad than an hour on its darkened shores. In a few places you can see small tussocks of grass or even a living tree, but its unforgiving shores rarely grant such hospitality to any human being.

The rolling hills of the Leylan Heights made a perfect defense position against incoming assaults towards Pakani City. When Ravana, Bandit Commander led her host towards the last holdout of Pakani City, the hills made a relatively good defensive position, and was preemptively fortified with luck-intent traps to obscure allied troop movements. When Ravana, with her horde, was able to breach the first line of defense, the troops simply withdrew, cursing and burning the terrain as they retreated. By the time Ravana withdrew, the entire territory had been scorched and cursed, and was a more terrible territory than any in the world. While other magister wars sometimes caused some cursed zones, they were generally not as deep as this, because they were often over things more petty: a broken marriage, a piece of land. This was what happens when you pitted the toughest troops and strongest tacticians of an age against each other: a vacant, unoccupied void.
