In the far-away region of IC 1848 - also known as the Soul Nebula - lies a sphere of inhabited space measuring roughly 100 light years across. This region is known as the Sealed Kingdoms by those who live there - 'sealed' both for the envelope of gas which isolates it from the rest of the galaxy and for the many civilizations there which live their entire lives within the perilous vacuum. And in this place, sar, science, trade, culture and even love blossoms beneath the glow of an alien cosmos.
