Campaign Overview
Brief Overviews of each Arc
Arc 1 - Welcome to The Sealed City
Sessions 1-7
Amora Springs, Lemon and Maja have all been training and working their way through the try out process for The Dust Scales and are preparing for their final initiation exam. On the way there they end up fighting two rogue sand bounders that had been drugged in the city square and, thanks to Gideon watching the display were accepted into the Dust Scale ranks regardless.
The group trained with their captain, Gideon Greywing and Lemon found herself experiencing strange headaches as they prepared for their first mission: to clear the next mine of monsters before work could begin. The group successfully explored and mapped the new caves for mining but were nearly killed when a cruthix queen appeared and attacked them. Scrapping by, they came across a suspicious magic circle and a blue bead marked with a symbol none of them recognised, a tree with its roots formed into a heart.
The group travelled into The Dust for their very first hunting mission: to slay a manticore whose blood and other body parts could be used to create health potions. Due to the mysterious death and disappearance of many prominent healers, there was a shortage and despite her misgivings, Arjhanna Yarr was pressured by the other council members into sending more teams into the dust to collect monster parts to end the shortage. While out in the wilds, Team Starfall was separated and, after killing a manticore, met another. This Manticore was injured, old and strangest of all, accompanying two people, apparently not from Sanctuary. The two pale skinned humanoids, Magic Walker and Silent Stalk, along with their manticore guardian Spinetail, swore Team Starfall to secrecy. Apparently, their tribe had been living outside of Sanctuary's walls since the founding and distrusted anybody from there.
Unsure of what to make of the mysterious group, Starfall agreed and returned to the city just intime for their own surprise birthday party. After defeating the giant pinata Belzhanna's pet Peepers brought to life, they all enjoyed some downtime before The Starfall Celebration. What should have been a time of romance and joy turned into a nightmare though, as several people from all over the city began to suffer from a mysterious, coma like illness.
Arc 2 - The Sleeping Sickness
Sessions 8-15
A mysterious plague, named The Sleeping Sickness, begins to sweep through Sanctuary. Team Starfall witness a confrontation between Arjhanna Yarr and the leader of the Yggdrasil, Wendra Balefyre, who insists the Dust Scales must double their efforts hunting to make up for the health potion shortage. Maja is also shocked to see her former friend Callista, has been taken under Wendra's wing and is now a fledgling member of Sanctuary's most exclusive guild. Afterwards, Maja confronts Gideon about her parantage and he reveals that he suspects she's the daughter of Cynric Dorillian and his wife Bella, his former teammates.
While doing their duty to help the Sigil Scholars track the disease, Team Starfall also looked into Riz, Lemon's friend who went missing during the Starfall Celebration. These investigations lead them to The Hole in the Wall and Sapphire, a mysterious half orc woman who seems to have her finger on the pulse of all crime in the city. It was there they learned that Riz had joined The Nightstalkers. Sapphire was sympathetic to Lemon's worry for her friend and revealed that, although she did not know why, The Crooked Man had always had a soft spot for her and that should she need his help, she could find him by travelling to Edgewatch Keep and travelling "further right than should be safe."
Disaster strikes when the group returns to Arrowhome,
Arc 3 - Dimensional Distraction
Sessions 16-20
To celebrate saving the city, Team Starfall are invited to a ball hosted by the esteemed Harnir Reinhart, one of the cities councilors. There, the group and their plus ones, Cerys, Ellie and Dennor, experience Sanctuary nobility for the first time, and meet a few more colorful characters. After a strange battle against a chandelier wyvern for the benefit of the guests Amora feels a tug from her ring and is drawn out into Harnir's garden. There, her love, Belinay appeared and informed Amora she was being forced into a marriage against her will. This sent Amora into a panic, causing their Radiant Consumption to activate against their will, burning themselves and the garden. around them. With the help of Lemon, Maja and Gideon, Amora calms and the group make a plan.
After some research, the group realize they need two things in order to reach Belinay: a thin space to the Feywild, and a resonance stone. While helping Sigil Scholars to clear The Rainbow Lake of water elementals, the group encounter Sera, Amora's old rival from The Wings, and witness her dive into a thin space with the help of her own crystal. Unable to follow, the group instead follows a new lead to The Covetello Crime Family, and meet its enigmatic new leader, Brimstone Barakkus.
To their surprise, the ruthless crime boss persona Brimstone exuded was nothing more than a mask. In reality, he was in way over his head. Brimstone revealed he was actually from an entirely different dimension, a place called Thrasios, where the drought never occurred, and where he desperately wanted to return. The group strike a deal, Brimstone would use his thieving skills and charisma to help the group break into The Hall of the Ancients to steal the resonance stones they needed. Unfortunately, it seemed Brimstone's position as leader of the crime family is precarious and his second in command Durza makes things difficult for the group.
The group managed to break into The Halls and made their way past traps, puzzles and keepers to eventually find the resonance stones. Only to find their escape blocked and with no choice but to use a convenient thin space to teleport outside the city. After wandering in the Dust for several days the group met up with Magic Walker, who was able to teach them the art of riding purple worms in order to get back to the city more quickly. Only for Durza and the remains of the Covetello to ambush them. During the fight, Durza's pathetic nature was revealed and Brimstone decided he wasn't worth killing, instead allowing Amora to knock him out. Brimstone then returned home through the portal, leaving Team Starfall to handle Durza's arrest before returning to the Rainbow Lake and activating their own resonance stone, creating a portal to The Feywild.
