The Sealed City

A thousand years ago, on the continent of Arta, a great drought ravaged the land. After years of suffering four heroes from different regions came together and travelled to the mountain where it was said the Gods could hear the voices of mortals. After struggling to prove their worth through great acts of martial and magical prowess, Chauntea Goddess of Agriculturewas sufficiently impressed and sympathetic to their plight. Chauntea created a great tree at the top of the mount that’s roots reached deep into the earth, spreading around the mountain and restoring the cracked earth to life. With a safe haven from the drought created the four heroes set about defending and developing their new home, which flourished as the rest of the world withered under the sun. Sanctuary now stands as the last bastion of civilisation in the known world.
