VC CASPR
"Listen, Nate, I know it says it's a smart gun, but it's not that smart, and you're a terrible shot!"
The VC CASPR (Compact Automatic Smart Personal Rifle), or simply the Casper, is a Vestan smart personal defense weapon chambered for the 6mm Gauss cartridge. It is designed and manufactured by the Vestan small arms manufacturer Varne & Carter for the civilian market.
First announced in 372, the CASPR was meant to be a small factor personal defense weapon, tailored for use in buildings and urban areas. Outfitted with a biometric safety and an on-board fire control computer, the CASPR was well-received by law enforcement agencies and private military contractors, praising its user-friendly handling and accuracy, but its high cost and lack of modularity ultimately made it a rather niche weapon.
