Vincent Rossi (a.k.a. Vinn)
Physical Description
Vinn has some facial hair but not much. He tends to hide his face behind his hair, which is often in dreadlocks.
His striped jacket, brown cargo pants to fit lots of tools and gadgets in to.
Vinn lost his left hand when he was in elementary school in an accident in his father's mechanic shop and now has a mechanical left hand, starting below the elbow. He often likes to tinker with and download upgrades to it, making it much stronger than his right hand. He often carries a multitool with him, both for messing with his arm and fixing things around Helena's Endeavor .
Mental characteristics
Vinn grew up in Sojourner,
Mars along with his close friend,
Jayleen Joshi . The two of them raised hell in school and Vinn spent his suspension days and after school hours tinkering around in his father's mechanic shop. Vinn lost his arm in an accident there and now has a cybernetic arm. Still, this didn't discourage him from his love of machinery.
Vinn's mother died when he was young, but his mother's old friends always came to the get-togethers that Vinn's father held on Friday nights. However, the family took another hit when Vinn's father was diagnosed with cancer and Vinn had to drop out of high school and starting working the shop full-time.
When Jayleen returned to Mars six years after she ran, Vinn's father was long dead. Vinn left the failing shop behind to join Jayleen and Sora on their newest mission. Vinn is loyal to a fault and will stay with the Hellkids til the end of the line.
Vinn attended school up until his sophomore year of high school, where he dropped out to work in his dad's mechanic shop. He was never a particularly accomplished student and preferred to spend his time outside and out of the classroom.
Up until Jayleen met up with Vinn, he was working at his father's old mechanic shop, vying for ownership of the shop from the local mechanic's guild. When he lost ownership of the beloved shop, he joined Jayleen in space.
After losing both of his parents and his best friend at a young age, Vinn finds himself constantly afraid of losing or being abandoned by his friends, and as a result, tends to take a while to warm up to new people.
Vinn wants nothing more than to see his friends safe and as a result, takes an "us first" approach when confronted with a problem. He is wary of Jayleen's frequent need to rush off and help strangers and the danger that this life brings. When pressed, however, Vinn will jump into action to save others, he just doesn't like to think of the consequences.
