Mages from the Imperium suspect that this species had a sophisticated grasp of magic in their time. The tablet is suspected to predate the Obsidian Empire by nearly two millenia. -

The Reign of the Obsidian Empire
Political eventThe Rahiir tells of the Anuri - a race of jackal-like humanoid with onyx colored skin - that ruled over the ancient lands of Aashae. A great ruler named Rigel the Ascendent ruled the empire as Pharoah.
A few relics are found in the Great Desert including an ancient ruined Anurian pyramid at Tjebderis, but much of the circumstances from this time is still unknown. The Empire held influence over the area for over five-thousand years until it collapsed during a period of time called the Dark Reclamation. -
