Nitrollector

The Alhara side of Jana is heavily reliant on rapid cooling agents. As water is a scarce resource they cannot afford to use it for cooling down building surfaces or as a method of cleaning solar fabric, panels, and vehicles. As its substitute, due to the abundance of a compound produced by bacteria and plants along with 2-Nitrophenol crystals spread under the subsurface of Albard, the machine was invented by the Albardines to extract bonded Nitrogen atoms and turn them into Liquid Nitrogen (N2).   The High-Pressure Chloramphenicol Extractor, known more commonly as the Nitrollector, is an industrial machine designed to collect ice from the ground and properly filter them into Chloramphenicol and Nitrophenol canisters. These canisters are superheated until they reach their boiling point, turning both compounds into a gaseous state. Nitrogen is then forcibly extracted from the compounds. The resulting decomposition reaction results in Carbon Crystals, Chlorine gas, and most importantly Liquid Nitrogen which is filtered into another canister. These large industrial machines are powered by a single Portable Tri-Core and are built locally with Hikori to survive the extreme cold and heat that occurs between the reactions. The Liquid Nitrogen produced by the machine is traded to Alhara, in exchange for any resources they may need at the time.   Mobile Nitrollectors are large machines designed for long-term extraction and hold five times more resources in their canisters. With additional space and materials, they can also turn the Carbon they haul into Carbon-Steel and turn the chlorine into a cleaning agent. These machines are powered by an entire Tri-Core Battery which makes them incredibly heavy and expensive to build. When they are sent for extraction missions they are often heavily escorted to ensure pirates and other criminal activity can be thwarted. Albardine colonies that are middle-wealth and under often share a single Mobile Nitrollector amongst themselves and split the profit from the trade of their canister.   A recent invention by the local government of Jana is a miniaturized version of the Nitrollector which is can be used for smaller cavernous spaces. These are produced on a commission basis by colony leaders and the government.   Materials Required:
  • Chloramphenicol residue (C11H12CL2N2O5)
  • Nitrophenol crystals (C6H5NO3)
