Wendigo
Wendigos are warped humans born of cannibalism. The creature is 12 feet tall counting the magnificent rack of antlers topping its head.
One can feel the temperature drop in the presence of the Wendigo.
When enraged, its sunken eyes glow with a blue-white light.
Basic Information
Anatomy
This clearly unnatural beast is tall, perhaps 10 feet at the head if standing up straight, with another 2 feet of antlers on top of that. Its dark, emaciated form is hunched over causing extraordinarily long arms to leave clawed hands brushing the floor. The monster’s head looks much like a moose where it meets the skinny neck, but towards the end of the snout, it takes on a much more canine look, with teeth like a wolf.
The fluidity with which it moves belies the creature’s size. The barrel chest has skin stretched tightly across it, making it possible to see every rib. This tapers rapidly to an impossibly narrow waist, and the protuberances of the pelvic bone are clear even through the coarse, matted fur all over the creature’s body.
Dietary Needs and Habits
Wendigos continue to lust for human flesh - that which created them in the first place. In a pinch, they can eat the flesh of animals to stay alive, but it brings them no pleasure, and merely reminds them of what they truly crave.
Origin/Ancestry
The wendigo is a creature of Native American lore, although other traditions have similar stories.
