The Great Eastern Desert

Sand whipped through the air, blown by harsh winds. The Carvers didn't wince as the harsh wind made the sand carve into their flesh. They moved on, their drummers beating their cursed tune. In the distance, demons circled the group of Carvers, eyeing the fresh meat, and circling them were rumbling shapes, just under the sand.

Geography

The desert is a vast place, covering hundreds upon hundreds of miles with just sand. There are very few oases, all of which have been heavily reinforced by the Carvers that live within the desert. The massive skeletons of giants litter the desert, marking where they fell.

Fauna & Flora

No plants naturally live within the desert, save for the tough Rackweed, which carvers subsist off of. The entire desert is plagued with both demons and Carvers, who seek out any fresh meat they can find. Under the sand, massive serpents burrow, once ridden by the giants that used to roam the desert. It is rumored that there are dragons that live within the desert, and giants that live even further into the desert, where the ancients could not find them.   The Ancients used to live within the desert, before their people were slaughtered. The Ancients were giant hunters, and are responsible for a great many of the skeletons within the desert.

Natural Resources

The desert lacks any real value to the people of the Rip, save for the bones of giants, which are useful in the construction of armor and weapons, due to their strength and hardness, combined with their light weight. The people of the Rip have set up a joint perimeter along the desert, setting aside the wars of their people when they must, to prevent the hordes of demons and carvers from overwhelming the people of the Rip.
