Episode 37 - Way Down in the Hole

Expedition

After returning themselves back to normal size, Tel Brett Savage Wiktufa Tchal Bae and Yagmur attempt to escape the Temple of Perspective whilst being chased by Inquisitor Bishop and Inquisitor Rook

Immediately after returning to full size, they are set upon by Santhe Industries battle droids whilst the area around them starts to collapse. The battle droids are quickly dispatched, but the platform begins to collapse and several of crew slip off, while Tel grabs the remaining crew and slides off the side, Brett Savage stops and eventually gets cut down by Inquisitor Rook before sliding off the platform himself.   After dusting themselves off for a few seconds and reviving Brett Savage the crew are chased through a series of tunnels and corridors by Inquisitor Bishop and Inquisitor Rook   They eventually find respite in a sleeping quarter, inside a dormitory. After some investigation they find a cipher hidden inside a drawer and believe the room was once used by Tonis Daras   Wheels sends the crew a garbled message trying to give them instructions on how to get out, and informing them that the Phalanx has left without them.   They solve the puzzle thanks to Tchal 's stolen collection of books and decipher the phrase: "This temple holds the power of resurrection. I hid it to protect all. Light from the Source (word untranslatable) fused with holocron casings. The Cortosis room must be protected/hidden. We are the Jatu Rhar."   an altercation occurs between Tchal and Yagmur over the books and knowledge within them, accumulating in Brett Savage having to break them up by firing his stun rifle into the air. This alerts a Santhe Industries droid patrol to there presence and the crew are attacked.   Bae is shot several times and collapses from her wounds. While the crew fight back, Bae is visited by Kallawarr in ethereal form and tells her to protect the holocrons.   While still fighting the droids, the holocron bursts a beam of light which connects to Bae bringing her back to life.   The crew dispense of the rest of the droids, before taking there now unconscious human commander hostage.   They remove the commanders wrist droid communicator and it is given to Wiktufa   Tchal notices that the holcron glows when pointed in certain directions and the crew use this to navigate themselves though the temple.   They eventually find themselves in large gathering chambers in the rafters. Where below them, a large quantity of droids are beginning to search for them.   They manage to sneak across the room without being detected and then Wiktufa uses the stolen communicator to request backup from the droids in a different location. this then clears most of the room of droids.   The only people left in the room are a couple of Santhe Industries engineers and an imperial officer who are all working at opening a strange metal door.   after some discussion of inserting incendiary grenades into various orifices of the unconscious commander and dropping him on the unaware engineers it is decided to just drop the grenade on its own. The grenade manages to knock out all the engineers and the crew make their way down from the rafters.   After trying everything they can think of to open the door, including shooting it and brute force. Bae utters the phrase "we are the Jatu Rhar" and the door opens for them.   inside the small room many holocrons sit on metal racking and a console which Wiktufa attempts to interact with, using the stolen wrist commander unit to decipher the strange language that the console is written in.   The inquisitors then begin to try to break their way into the room using their lightsabers to begin cutting through the door.   The consoles reacts and begins to initiate a form of self destruct, slowly wiping all the information contained on it, but Wiktufa manages to pull out two phrases from the database   “... hidden in Molten rock and heat intense, is the seat of the temple of Power…” and “...not to be mistaken for a tomb, only Knowledge lies in this place, dark and cold…”   at the same time, all the holocrons begin to charge themselves with huge amounts of energy sparking and becoming intensely hot.   an escape hatch is also revealed when the process started, which the crew manage to force open and one by one file themselves out of the room.   the tunnel which they find themselves in leads them to a rallying point for the droids landing near the temple.   Wheels has managed to steal one of the transports which the crew hastily run to and take off in, before the temple below them seems to implode.
