The Natural Disasters #1: Those who are Bound are Lost

General Summary

The three elturgardians meet together to figure out their next move. However, The Hunter interrupts them before they can say anything. He asks them to follow him somewhere else so he can instruct them on what is to be done.
He takes them to a small room where he asks if they're ready for what he is about to say. Once getting an affirmative response, The Hunter informs the group of a military officer in a small outpost down south that an employer in Elturgard has paid to have, "removed from the picture."
The group agrees and heads to talk to Luthrin and Kiwi before they leave about coinage and a meeting place for after their respective tasks are finished. They decide to meet back in Amphail, and Luthrin gives money to the group for their long travel south.
The three people but horses and a portable battering ram before heading out. On their way out, a bugbear, aptly named Bear tries to steal from Arnold, and is offered to join the party. He joins in and the four head out.
On their way, the group comes across a Cyclops and its herd of sheep. They watch as it clobbers one to death, and it continues to keep them under its watchful gaze. The group decides to wait for the Cyclops to sleep and sneak past then. Eventually, they hear as a boulder is moved, and they begin to make their move. However, as they do so, they notice four mounds of earth moving right for them.
The mounds jump out, revealing themselves to be clockwork worms. As the group attempts to attack them, they realize none of their physical attacks seem to pierce the worms thick armored gears. Due to this, Arnold tries to save the horses, Bear runs, and Hope reverts to creating globules of flame from her own firey temper. Kriv however, takes the lead in slaying the creatures.
After the fight, the group runs as they hear the boulder begin to move, but they travel without the cyclops following. That night the group rests, and Arnold informs them that he saw a clockwork ballista and couple of soldiers pass by in the night.
The group continues to travel, moving past waterdeep. As they do, Bear hears something said about a manor of some kind being changed.
As the group gets into the night, they feel a sense of dread and hear gunshots and shouts from ahead. They run forth and see a strange creature, arms made of spikes, piercing through and holding two men in a deep embrace, with a large smile creeping across its face. The group rushes in and kills the creature, saving the lives of both men in its grasp.
The man with the gun reveals himself to be Remington, and the man in armor introduces himself as Ariel.
As the group is figuring this out, they spot a figure in the tree.They rush after it, and see it teleport into the road and attempt to run. They catch the figure, and see a pale elven figure put their hands, wrapped individually in chains, up. The self-bound shadar kai claims her name is Raven and that she is there only to watch the "sorrowsworn." Eventually she leaves, and the party does not follow.
In the night, Kriv has a small skirmish with a tiny slime creature that has eaten away the body of the "sorrowsworn."
The following day, as the group is preparing to leave, they see a patrol consisting of two destguards and a poxguard ushering a chained ogre along. The destguards talk at Arnold and other members of the party, especially Ariel who is covering his glowing eyes.
As the destguards are moving past, Arnold talks the group into attacking them. The poxguard breaks the chains on the ogres hands and goes after the party. The ogre immediately takes Kriv out and a fight ensues. Arnold manages to kill one of the destguards and the ogre. The other destguard was slain as well. Finally, the rest of the group gang up around a fleeing poxguard. They cut his throat, but his plagued being keeps him conscious and he wakes up, taking down Kriv before being killed.
