The Laws of The Realms of Ryndaria

At their core, the realms of Ryndari are alive and aware, if not awake. Everything has a soul, which means that abusing nature can lead to serious backlash.    Every mortal in the three realms has a possibility of gaining power to fundamentally alter some aspect of reality, within the laws of nature as defined by the gods. This means that anyone with a Talent who understands how to use it can do things like creating mountain ranges where prairie once was, or grow a tower of stone by singing to the stone - their abilities are limited only by their understanding, their covenant-keeping, and their imagination.   The Heavenly Council is deeply invested in the fates of the mortal races, but generally they do not directly interfere with events; instead, their disciples, the followers of the Way, can intervene to change mortals' paths and create miracles.    Some followers of the Way have achieved, not theosis, but a state of immortality. They have the ability to be where they are needed most, to enact oaths and covenants to the gods.

Cosmology

The realms of Ryndaria were created by the Heavenly Council for the express purpose of creating a testing ground in which mortals would have the chance to achieve theosis - thus becoming gods, if they follow the Way.

Principal Geography & Features

The main continent of Ryndari is massive, with an extremely diverse ecology - everything from primeval forests to a supervolcano to grasslands and desert and steppes - and lots and lots of mountains, some naturally occurring, some man-made. Its climate zones would be everything from 10 down to 2 or 3.

The initial setting is massive, an entire continent about the size of the Americas.
