Aasimar

'My child never cried, he just looked around at the world around him with burning, white eyes. His skin was golden, and his laugh was like a choir - that's how I knew we had been touched by the Heavens.' - Lady Inastra Silversun
Sometimes, a child is chosen in the womb by Ovala, the goddess of destiny. These children are born as aasimar, semi-celestial beings destined for greatness and guided to their great destiny by an angelic guardian. Whether these aasimar are guardians of the weak or scourges of the evil is up to fate, but they are always forces of great good in the world. Able to heal the injured and with some even sprouting wings, they are often considered to be angels on the earth, and may be venerated as demigods in some communities.
