The Thorns

The Guard of Spring Court . While Spring is devoted to joy and celebration, to new growth, they understand the need for protection as well; after all many flowers have thorns. Springborn warriors train in the capital in basic capabilities and then are sent on to the Summer Realms to refine their skills. Most return to Spring and guard the cities and towns throughout the realm, or to the capital of Lady's Blessing to serve the Queen directly. Traditionally the best warriors from each year stay on with a Summer legion and serve a rotation in the Winter blasted lands since the Atlantis War. Warrior healers are more common in Spring than any other; they are typically called Emerald Thorns. Among the Thorns the Queen is referred to as the Blossom, the one they are meant to act as protection for, and to carry out her will.
