The Keepers of Knowledge
Often simply called the Keepers, these scholars and academics may be part of the Autumn University, Great Library, Crystal Observatory, or come from other lines of work. However, being a Keeper is an additional role above and beyond their day to day pursuits.
The Keepers goal is to research and investigate magical or unexplainable problems that may be plaguing the realms, such as issues with the voidborn or other anomalies. This often involves working together with other scholars and spending long hours into the night looking for that solution that nobody else has managed to find. The Keepers helped discover the magic of the Portals, and have occasionally helped humans with breakthroughs to prevent devastating events.
