The Gale
Predominantly a force made up of the Valkyrie, the Gale however does make an exception for those of strong will. The Gale serve as the mounted fighting force for all four realms. Every member of the Gale has a winged mount, from pegasi to griffins and other fierce winged companions (even some shifters, who choose to serve as the second of this pair if they are capable of flight).
Training takes several years, and in the first two years a trainee remains grounded in that time, focusing on combat training and tracking. In the third year they determine what type of mount they may eventually pick and begin to train in air maneuvers. At the conclusion of four years, as rite of passage, their mount is chosen and the trainee officially becomes a member of the Gales. Going through this rigorous training they are fierce fighters, the fiercest in the Autumn Realm.
But that is not their primary purpose. The Gale move fast and strike fast, they help other Fae like the Nightmare get in and out of tricky places, and when things go wrong they will put themselves on the line to get others out of danger. They are guardians of the skies and take pride in their order.
