The Baraquellan Cycle
The Baraquellan Cycle is a series of tales written by the tabaxi bard, Marcav Shadowspaw, about the fabled island kingdom of @Baraquelle, the betrayal of its royal house and the rise and redemption of its lost heir and his ultimate defeat over darkness.
The story itself has been hailed as a seminal masterpiece and has spawned a whole genre of tragic tales with lost orphans becoming heroes, some which are still told to this day.
The Baraquellan Cycle, consists of many intertwined tales and is one of the few books in the west that goes into specific details about the island of Akkad, its inhabitants and the fabled assassins known as Rhûn Men

Legacy
In addition to spawning a whole genre of stories about lost orphans inheriting kingdoms, The work itself inspired the Galdani people and they embraced the courtly etiquette portrayed in the tales with fervour. The tales spurred a cultural revolution that shifted their pastoral province to a center of fashion and learning.
