The Apocalyptianists Sects

Overview

The Apocalyptianists are a collection of religious sects who share an interest in surviving in the apparent end of their world. They do so for beliefs such as the belief it will increase their resolve and strength, or that the other life in such a world is beautiful. While the stereotype of the Apocalyptiansists is of violence, force, and insanity, they usually are not hostile. Whatever the reason, they simply choose to live skirting destruction and disaster. Whether that be at home or professionally.

Teachings of the End Times:

These Apocalyptiansists choose to live in a world already on the brink of destruction. Believing that this path will destroy their body for the better. Ultimately strengthening their mind and soul. Those who try to escape this life are considered traitors to the order. Those who reject it are expected to find another path to follow. End Times followers can often be found in normally inhospitable places. Trying to make the best of their situation and have helped many travelers in need. There is an argument within this sect over whether magic should be used based on effort input to reward gained.

Teachings of the Omen Finder:

Any who follow the Omen Finder teachings should be seen as possible allies of Destiny's Hand. Those who follow this dogma say it is the ultimate path for Apocalyptianists. A calling which leads others to the sacred End Times. If they believe they can work with the Hand, or even with The Ghost King, they will try to leverage that relationship and begin the apocalypse at home. Sometimes they are successful. Most times they are not.

Teachings of the Coming Storm:

Storm Watchers, as they are sometimes called, are the most mundane of the, "true sects". Being a mix between that desire for the end with the average lives of the commonfolk. These Apocalyptianists prepare themselves for the end before it comes and they wait. Individuals in this sect are often greedy and keep an eye out for the signs of an end foretold. Working so they can be safe and possibly generous once the end has begun.

Teachings of the Daily End:

Many average people follow this discipline. They believe a catastrophe can be personal and occur daily. Their focus on humanitarian aid through understanding has put a stereotype within other sects that they have a weak will. As such, they are not considered a real sect by the other teachings.

While the opinions of The Apocalyptianists depends on what Sects they adhere to, the overall opinion is slightly positive, as The Destiny's Hand provides the fuel for many Apocalypses and trials. The notable exception to this rule is those who follow the Daily End, who believe the Destiny's Hand to be an unnatural challenge, and resent their manipulative tactics.

While the Apocalyptianists often wish to put their worlds on the edge of destruction, this more often leads to their complete destruction by the Destiny's Hand. This means that the many sects of the Apocalyptianists are often a hassle for the Crusader's Efforts.
